Dr. Celeste Owens, a licensed psychologist is frequently asked to speak both locally and nationally on various topics associated with mental wellness. For over 10 years she has assisted many in healing their hearts and minds and knows her life's call is to help others live a life of purpose and meaning.
Her education includes a B.A. in Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, a M.S. in Applied Counseling Psychology from the University of Baltimore and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.
She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Chicago Area Christian Training Consortium. There she treated traumatized children and teens at the Lydia Residential Treatment Center and adults in the outpatient treatment center.

In 2005, she opened the doors of Serenity Counseling Services, a practice devoted to the wellness of individuals seeking recovery from traumatic experiences. For four years she tirelessly committed herself to the care of her clients. Although she loved the work she felt a call to move on. She is now a sought after motivational speaker. She is known for being transparent about her own life challenges and encourages others to do the same.
In 2008, she completed a 15-month Post-Doctoral Institute Training on treating trauma survivors. This training provided in-depth continuing education targeting issues relevant to psychological trauma, its repercussions, and treatment. The training was offered by the Maryland Psychological Association and featured world renowned experts on trauma.
Celeste is married to her best friend, Andel and they have two children. They reside in Prince George's County, Maryland.
